Which one is better?

Better for what? For you? For me? What? Questions, questions, questions.

I started taking pictures quite a while ago. It was a hobby in the beginning. Taking ‘snaps’ on vacation as a kid. As a teenager my subjects were aircraft and that continued for a good long time. Around 2000 I lost interest, probably because of the cost of film, developing, and PhotoCD’s.

A few years ago I had an intern who had a digital SLR (DSLR). When I saw this thing, I felt like I had been awakened from a deep sleep!

I had to have one. But which one?

I had no allegiance to either Nikon or Canon from my earlier (Pentax) days. Nor are they the only game in town. I decided to get either the Nikon D70s, or a Canon Rebel. I chose Nikon.

Why? Because it felt better in my hand.

So if you are in the process of choosing a camera, point-and-shoot or DSLR, this is an incredibly important consideration. Go down to the store, or borrow from a friend, and see how it feels.

That’s how you decide which is better, for you.
